The Senior and Junior Scratch Cups were held on Sunday and what a day it turned out to be. Conditions were perfect for scoring with not too much breeze and some glorious sunshine.

Open Singles this Thursday 26th and every Thursday throughout the summer.
The President’s Prize takes place on Sunday August 29th and will be a Stableford Competition from the Blue Tees followed by a buffet and presentations at 9pm. A draw for tee times takes place at 9pm this Wednesday after the 9 hole competition so be sure to have your name down. Phone 056 7726699 to get your name on the draw sheet if you haven’t done so already! Remember, this major competition is also a Golfer Of the Year event. President Mattie Byrne Senior is looking forward to a great days golf and is looking forward to welcoming all on the day.
Club Matchplay Competitions:
And then there were two. The Club Singles Matchplay is at the final stage where it’s Richie Lowry (10) to face Mark Hennessy (5). This final will take place shortly.
In the Club Fourball Matchplay, Conor Bolger & Eoin Jordan await the winners of Ed Donohoe & Pat Hyland vs. Clom Lawlor & Barry O’Connell in the final.

Diary Change:
A reminder that the monthly Medal that was penciled into the diary for August 15th has been rescheduled to September 12th.
Midweek 9-Hole:
The 9 hole competition continues throughout the summer. It’s a great social evening and a chance to get some practice in before the more serious competition on the weekend!
Just show up on the Wednesday evening (around 5pm) and you’ll always get someone to join up with. There is also a special 9-hole menu laid on in the bar upstairs afterwards.

Following a visit from the GUI regarding testing the course re: difficulty, a new SSS has been put in place.
Blue Tees: New SSS of 73 (previously 72)
White Tees: New SSS of 71 (previously 70)

The Online Booking facility is now active for members.
